I wish I could give it 6/5

This game I planned on having for something to do whenever I was bored. It turned out I played at least 3 different play throughs and played for 9 hours straight I couldnt have more respect for the writer. Simply put this is amazing is pay the cost 5x over

Most Excellent

I get a lot of these games and believe this is the best one yet. The plot twists are amazing and unpredictable and the story lasts just the right amount of time. Try this one... You wont be disappointed!

Great story

And it has character stats which is really cool

Really Cool

Definitely in the upper echelon of CoG/HG, up there with SOI, Robots, Mecha Ace, ZE, Tin Star, etc. looking forward to ZE:SH, the beta looks great thus far.

Great

Hours of awesome entertainment that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat

Awesome, but must dock stars.

On an iPad: Cant change the text size (too small for me!) Cant change the font. Cant hide distracting "stats" when in landscape mode. Other than that, its wonderful and clever. Just "finished" it (a few times), just wonderful. Have to give back a star. Still needs a font size option.

What a stORY!

Im a huge fan of Choice of Games and a Wise Use of Time is a wise choice! The game is so beautifully written, and its impressive that an interactive novel set in modern day can read so much like a pure sci-fi. The choices were the perfect balance of varied and exact that it is hard to play based entirely on stats rather than following a characters decision making process. It also great how none of the choices ruin the suspense of the writing. Another incredible facet of the writing is how many possible plot lines and little details there were about NPCs to explore. Wise Use of Time is in actuality only about medium length by CoG standards and my estimates, but it felt much larger than that, especially on my first play through. The romance aspect of the game, signature to CoG games, felt a little underdeveloped. Similar to Hero of Kendrickstone or romancing Jury in the Heroes Rise trilogy, the romance options felt either like you only had one opportunity or like it was a battle that could ruin your character or the plot. Im not sure I mind the fact that romance just so wasnt the concern of the story because honestly as the reader I cared more about the plot, too. Furthermore, the CoG games are known for their inclusivity. The cultural awareness and sensitivity in this game was incredible, and it was incredibly well done as well. Instead of story interrupting political tangents (Im looking at you, Hero Project) which are powerful but disruptive, statements and examples of cultural awareness and sensitivity were weaved seamlessly into the entire story. Similarly, I almost missed the lack of homophobia. While there is a case to be made for mimicking real life and addressing actual prejudice from entertainment platforms, the CoG games are such safe environments that I appreciated the emphasis on escapism and a world where that didnt exist. What was addressed was sexism, particularly in the workplace, and it was addressed in that characteristic respectful, subtle, and powerful way of the authors. Because Ive seen it brought up by CoG fans before, Wise Use of Time has only the basic level of accessibility in comparison to other titles by the company. Players can choose Boy or Girl and LGB and Ace. Sorry. Overall, another reviewer said, This might be the best CoG title of the year.

Amazing

Love this game. Make a sequel

Excellent work

Loved the story, hope we get a sequel

Absolutely amazing!

I normally never write reviews but this app deserves it! This is one of the best choice games Ive played. Its so intriguing, I literally couldnt put it down! Its a must buy

Absolutely Amazing

I would recommend this to anyone.

Best interactive story Ive played.

Spent hours on my first play through. Even after an hour I knew I was going to play this again. Theres so many possibilities, I just gotta try them all!

Great Game/Interactive Novel

A Wise Use of Time ended up being a very fun and memorable adventure from Choice of Games, and it may even be my favorite title yet. The concept is unique, the story is interesting and exciting, the characters are surprisingly well rounded, the choices are meaningful, and the stat system is complex yet solid. I literally stayed up until 1:00 AM on this book/game when I shouldve been reading The Oresteia for class. I recommend this game for anyone who likes a good fantasy/suspense story as well as to anyone whos just trying to get back into reading books.

An old friend

Have not played yet I guess when I do I well write a new review

Excellent choice title bring us more !!

Excellent...... Also excellent app icon

Great Game

Very engrossing story. Wish it didnt end so abruptly however. There were a lot of different loose ends I wish they tied up. Definitely recommend though!

On word. Amazing!

Stayed up entirely too late transfixed on this game/book and loved every minute of it. Just a fantastic storyline. Well done.

Great writing but the illusion of choice.

It was and is absolutely fantastic writing. The only thing I dont like is how forced the ending is and how you only get the illusion of choice with Barnabas. No matter hat you do he spares you, then he either leaves, spares you, or flees, and then the last time you meet him you fight him and win. EVERY TIME. Maybe I havent found all the ending but I feel as though Barnabas is forced upon the story without actually being a sort of it. You cant do anything except talk to him or punch him in the face, and even then you get the same course of events with him. Next time make characters like him blend with the story more. Give more choices, allow us to befriend him, allow us to do other things. Anything but kill him. Some people want to make friends. Not kill people. Overall an amazing story but Barnabas feels forced.

Very Interesting, but the ending was abrupt

The Rienesancce (cant spell) scene tied a beautiful story together into a hodgepodge ending that left me very confused. Other than that, it was so beautiful.

A Fun Run Through Text

I enjoyed the craft of this games writing, especially the relationships between characters. For the first time I didnt feel like I was pushed into an obvious romance and the friendships you can cultivate had more dimension than many of the other Choice of series Ive played. Id love a sequel and hope they fix some of the odd text flubs I noticed while playing. An excellent purchase.
